Background
The client is a large insurer, the project is an IFRS 17 implementation and is running across 10 jurisdictions with a team of about 200 staff who are a mixture of employees, contractors and consultants.
In addition the project is procuring large systems and systems integration services from a variety of vendors. The role-holder will become part of the IFRS 17 PMO team.
Role description
- Control and maintain programme business case, including regular refresh and updates.
- Monitor costs at all the participating entities against agreed budget and forecast. Escalate instances of potential risk to cost plan
- Provide governance forum and ad hoc financial reporting
- Processes budget allocation requests for approval submission
- Manage vendor contract processing and governance, including monitoring of invoicing, ensuring payment per agreed terms
- Manage change requests for budgets
- Liaise with operational finance team to manage internal costs and cost reporting requirements.
Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience
- Significant financial analysis experience, particularly within a complex project environment
- Strong Excel skills, including VB coding
- Strong communication skill across all levels of an organization i.e. working level to C-Suite executives
- Highly experienced in budgeting and reporting
- Strong English skills, both written and spoken
