Summary:
Will be responsible the development and maintenance of a number of plans as part of a large-scale application development programme. He / She will be involved in taking the tasks and activities provided by the project managers of the various streams and sub-streams and developing robust plans to underpin the delivery.
Background:
The client is integrating a number of MPF platforms by private insurance providers into one digital MPF user interface. This is a privately managed, government funded programme.
Primary responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain integrated detail plans for each stream and sub-stream in the programme.
- Develop & maintain a rolled-up version for the overall stream plan.
- Work with the owner of the Programme plan and integrate the overall stream plan
- Establish critical path elements across the plans
- Establish the resources required across the plans
- Degree holder in Computer Science, Information Technology or related disciplines
- A minimum of 7 years experience in PMO functions, with minimum 4 years’ experience in project planning; preferably with solid profiles of delivering this in large and complex system implementation projects
- Highly experienced in using Microsoft Project, linking plans, levelling resources, managing resources across plans, establishing dependencies and critical path across plans.
- Working knowledge of PRINCE 2 or PMP will be an advantage
- Experienced in Government projects will be an advantage
- Working experience in financial institutions will be an added advantage
- Effective verbal and written communication in English and Chinese;
- Positive attitude, fast-learning, energetic, able to perform in challenging environment;
- Strong team player
- Ability to work in a pressured environment with tight deadlines
- Period – Expect 24 months
- Team – PD, OPM, several PMs, PMO being set up, large number of BAs and SAs
- Location – Hong Kong island
- Plan – In place, being reworked in light of significant gap between what is in place and what is required.
